"We named this line ‘De Hamer' because the side of the sole is, in fact, hammered. To do that, we use a large beating machine with a heavy hammer head in the sole factory. This hammer head beats all around the side of the leather sole, making the sole edge look somewhat irregular. The effect isn’t huge, and you can barely see it on the photo, but it really ads to the overall look of the shoe. It simply seems more authentic and seasoned.
