This lace-up boot is made using the Goodyear welt construction. In this traditional and labor-intensive method of shoemaking, the sole is built up step by step beneath the shoe without prefabricated materials. Goodyear-welted shoes are sturdy, feature a waterproof bond between the sole and upper, can be repaired to a high standard, and above all have a great deal of character. In other words, Goodyear is the construction method a shoemaker chooses for his own formal shoes. The sole has a brown tread made of durable rubber. The lining is made from high-quality calfskin leather. This boot is built on a last with an H width, meaning it also provides room for a slightly wider foot. The calfskin leather of this version has a beautiful, warm cognac tone. The leather is hand-finished to color in our factory. This manual finishing gives the seams and stitching their characteristic appearance and creates a beautiful depth of color.
