This is a casual ankle boot on a gum-coloured profile sole. The sole is luxuriously finished with a double leather sole edge and a leather insert in the heel. The boot comes with caramel-coloured calf leather lining and a removable footbed that can be replaced with your own footbed or insoles if required. The lacing is finished with four hiking boot hooks at the top which make it easy to put the boots on and take them off. The sand-coloured suede is manufactured in Tuscany by a specialised suede tannery. After the tanning process, the suede undergoes additional washing, giving it a casual, but still very stylish look.

"We named this line ‘De Hamer' because the side of the sole is, in fact, hammered.”
Floris about this item:
"We named this line ‘De Hamer' because the side of the sole is, in fact, hammered. To do that, we use a large beating machine with a heavy hammer head in the sole factory. This hammer head beats all around the side of the leather sole, making the sole edge look somewhat irregular. The effect isn’t huge, and you can barely see it on the photo, but it really ads to the overall look of the shoe. It simply seems more authentic and seasoned. Incoming play on words: So, we didn't just hit the nail on the head with our little hammer, we’ve also made a dent in the sole edge!"
