"The design on the sole of this shoe is a revamped version of an idea we had about 10 years ago. The design captures the names of all our employees here at our factory in Moergestel. I never really planned to bring this design back until I attended the cremation of an employee who worked with us for 12 years. Terribly sad, of course. During the commemoration, one of her relatives told us an anecdote. It revealed that when they were having coffee, they'd sometimes look for the employee’s name at the bottom of the old sole. Right there and then I decided to launch a second version. So... on the bottom of this shoe is a tribute to the people who manufacture our shoes, with a nice spot at the centre for the name of our deceased colleague."
