"The most typical thing about this shoe is that it has no lining. There is only a small bit of lining around the top of the ankle, because obviously we want everything to have a finished look. The inside of the shoe has no lining at all. Traditionally, our company isn't used to making unlined shoes. People that have been working in our factory for over 40 years shake their heads at this kind of thing: "A quality shoe should be lined." But for this shoe, we want it to sag a bit, and we want it to be light, thin and flexible. When you're looking for a conventionally produced lined shoe, this is most likely not the right choice. But if you're looking for a wonderfully light summer shoe, this may just be the one for you."
