A number of our tanners (companies that produce leather) are amazed when they see how we process their leather. We are often told ‘Yes but that is not what the leather is meant for’. They have designed the leather for bags or small leather items and such. That is a sign for us that we are one the right track. To produce shoes in a type of leather that has never been used for men’s shoes before. The material with the triangles that is processed on the middle of the foot of this shoe, is a nice example. It was never the intention to produce a smart men’s shoe with this but it really works fantastically. High fives all around the design room and then back to the next design...
