"Tanners can't vary as much with suede as they can with leather. Nevertheless, there are endless variations: waxed, greased, creased, long fibres, shaved short, hunting, stamped, washed and all kinds of combinations. There are hundreds of tanners selling suede. The challenge is in finding the best, both in quality and aesthetics. Of all basic varieties, this suede is my absolute favourite. After the tanning process it has been lightly waxed, then lightly washed. The effect is a suede that is just that much more adventurous and withered than the standard classic suede. Wandering around a material trade fair and experiencing love at first sight with lightly washed suede. That's my life."
