What is my size?

For men’s shoes, Floris van Bommel uses the English (UK) shoe size system in whole and half sizes (5 to 13½). This allows for a very accurate fitting range. The two tables below show how the UK sizes relate to EU sizes and centimetres. In the video, we show you how to measure your feet correctly.

Product details

This is a stylish casual boot with a lightweight profile sole. The durable commando tread ensures excellent grip under all conditions. The shoe is crafted from sporty black leather, sourced from a leading Italian tannery in Ponte a Egola, specialised in vegetable and semi-vegetable tanning processes. The footbed, which runs from heel to toe, is removable and can be replaced with custom insoles or orthotics if desired. This boot has an H-width last, making it suitable for slightly wider feet. If you have a narrower foot, our comparable but slightly slimmer Sturdi line may be a good alternative.

"This shoe gets his name from the ultra-lightweight sole. It's so light, you'll feel like you're floating. Hence the name: De Floter (The Floater). This makes me wonder whether we should supply knee pads with every purchase. With these shoes, your feet will feel so light that your knee might shoot up with every next step and—bam!—you'll break your nose. These days, companies are liable for just about everything, right? Anyway... I'll look into that. These shoes offer the best of both worlds: a proper winter shoe with an insulating sole and a non-slip tread, whilst also being incredibly light and flexible.<br><br>By the way, our Sturdi line is very similar to the De Floter range. The Sturdi feels somewhat sturdier because it doesn't have a lightweight sole, but it's a big favourite within the collection. The styling is slightly different, with different materials and a gum-coloured sole. So there’s plenty to choose from."
