“This is the “Floris van Bommel move”. When you perform a new move or jump in gymnastics, it will usually be named after you. I think that this tradition should be adopted for the shoe world as well. This shoe would then certainly be named after us. We’ve combined a number of components of existing shoes and styles and made them into something new. The starting point for this sole was a boat shoe sole without a heel. We combined it with a slim, rounded last and finished it with a blue and white colour combination from another shoe. The result is a type of shoe that you won’t find anywhere else. It has a totally individual style, somewhere between casual, dressy and sporty. It’s a summery, slightly maritime casual shoe that goes well with chic trousers but also looks great with jeans or shorts.”
