Since 1718, we have been making men's shoes under the Van Bommel brand in our shoe factory in Moergestel. For generations, this collection has been known for its premium quality and classic designs. Its younger sibling, Floris van Bommel, was founded in 1996 and offers the same high level of quality, but with a contemporary look that appeals to the modern man through a broad and varied collection.

The history of Van Bommel

For 286 years, we have produced a large proportion of our men's shoes at the Van Bommel shoe factory in Moergestel. In 2020, almost three centuries later, brothers Reynier, Floris and Pepijn van Bommel represent the ninth generation at the helm of the Van Bommel family business. Making a pair of Van Bommel shoes requires around 260 individual steps, many of which are carried out by hand. This traditional production process and craftsmanship have been passed down from father to son since 1718.

If you have any questions about sizing, construction methods or anything else, feel free to contact our customer service team. They are available on working days from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
