Our men's shoes generally fit true to size and use UK shoe sizes in full and half sizes (5 to 13.5) for a precise fit. If you usually wear leather loafers from other brands in a particular size, choose the same size. If you're between two sizes or have wider feet, choose a wider fit for extra comfort.

Are Floris van Bommel loafers suitable for orthotic insoles?

No, most loafers are not suitable for orthotic insoles. Some boat shoes and other Floris van Bommel shoes with a removable footbed do provide room for your own orthotic insoles. Use our 'removable footbed' filter to find all men's shoes suitable for orthotic insoles.

How do you care for leather and suede loafers?

Before wearing leather and suede loafers for the first time, we recommend treating them with a water- and dirt-repellent spray such as Carbon Pro by Collonil. Applying this regularly helps prevent dirt and moisture from penetrating the material. Smooth leather shoes are best maintained regularly with a shoe cream in a colour that closely matches the leather. This helps maintain the correct moisture balance and allows you to enjoy your shoes for longer.

How are Floris van Bommel loafers made?

Most Floris van Bommel loafers are produced using either the moccasin or Ago construction method. The upper leather is stretched around the last. With the moccasin construction, the upper leather is hand-stitched together on top of the shoe. With the Ago construction, the upper leather is secured underneath the insole using adhesive.
