You can determine the right size for your Floris van Bommel boots using our size chart and size advice video. Our men's shoes generally fit true to size and use UK shoe sizes in whole and half sizes, ranging from 5 to 13.5, for a precise fit. If you consistently wear the same size in leather boots from other brands, choose the same size. If you're between two sizes or have wider feet, choose a wider fit for additional comfort.

Which Floris van Bommel boots are suitable for orthotic insoles?

A large proportion of Floris van Bommel boots have a removable footbed and are therefore suitable for orthotic insoles. However, some men's boots do not have a removable footbed. Use our 'removable footbed' filter to find all men's boots that are suitable for orthotic insoles.

How do you care for men's leather and suede boots?

Before wearing your men's boots, it is best to treat them with a water- and dirt-repellent spray such as Carbon Pro by Collonil. This spray is suitable for both leather and suede boots. Applying it regularly helps prevent dirt and moisture from penetrating the material. For smooth leather boots, Carbon Wax helps prevent premature wear, allowing you to enjoy your men's boots for longer.

How are Floris van Bommel men's boots made?

Most Floris van Bommel men's boots are produced using either the Blake or Ago construction method. With both methods, the upper leather is pulled over the last and secured with adhesive underneath the insole. A small amount of cork is applied underneath the foot to provide optimal support. The pre-finished outsole is then attached to the insole using adhesive.

The difference between Blake and Ago construction is that with the Blake method, the insole, upper and outsole are additionally stitched together using a vertical stitch.
