If the belt is no longer available in our webshop, you can always contact us. We'll be happy to check whether the belt is still available from one of our dealers, so you can still get the combination you're looking for.

Choosing the right belt size

Just like with shoes, choosing the right size is important when ordering a leather belt. According to traditional style etiquette, a belt should be fastened using the third hole, creating a balanced and polished appearance. At Floris van Bommel, we offer men's belts in three different sizes, so you can find a belt that suits your waist measurement and personal style.

Don't worry if the belt is slightly too long, as all our belts can easily be shortened to the desired length. Want to know how? What is my belt size?

Your belt size is based on the circumference of your hips in centimetres. You can easily measure this by wrapping a piece of string around your hips and then placing it alongside a measuring tape or ruler. Floris van Bommel belts are available in three sizes: 95 cm, 105 cm and 115 cm. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger size.

Can Floris van Bommel belts be shortened?

Yes, most Floris van Bommel leather and suede belts can easily be shortened at home. Our video on shortening a belt explains how to do this step by step. Braided belts cannot be shortened at home. However, this isn't necessary with braided belts, as the buckle pin can be inserted through the braided structure, allowing the belt to fit at different lengths.

How do I find shoes with a matching belt?

Floris van Bommel offers a matching belt for almost every pair of shoes, made in the same colour and material as the shoes. Simply select a pair of shoes in our webshop and the matching belt will automatically be displayed on the product page.
